Let's go to Aruba!
Aruba is a Caribbean island country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is an approachable, tropical vacation destination for Americans, with little to no language barrier and no need to arrange an exchange of currency. It is considered an international destination and will require a passport. Additionally, all tourists are required to complete an Embarkation/ Disembarkation Card in advance of your flight. This is easily done online on Aruba's website, link below.
Queen Beatrix International Airport
The local Aruba airport is small, with several waiting areas that don't offer air conditioning. We have found afternoon departures may take several hours to go through security while a morning departure can take minutes to go through customs!
Travel while in Aruba
The island of Aruba takes 45 minutes to drive from the furthest points. While renting a car is certainly an option, it's not necessary. While Uber and Lyft are not available, there are several wonderful taxi services available for any excursions you decide to do. Transportation to and from wedding events will be provided for you from the Hyatt Regency.
